Anthony Joshua delivered a thrilling comeback victory on Saturday night, knocking out Kristian Prenga in the second round of their heavyweight bout after a shaky start.

The 36-year-old former world champion was in early trouble, as Prenga came out aggressively. Within the first 20 seconds, the Albanian landed a powerful uppercut followed by an overhand right that sent Joshua to the canvas.

Although Joshua got back on his feet, he appeared unsteady, and Prenga capitalized by pinning him against the ropes and unleashing a barrage of punches. The onslaught led to a second knockdown before the end of the opening round.

However, Joshua regrouped in his corner and returned for the second round with renewed determination. Using a sharp jab to control distance, he pushed Prenga backward before landing a precise one-two combination.

A clean straight right stunned Prenga, and Joshua followed up with a series of unanswered hooks that drove him into the corner. Referee Harvey Dock began the count, but Prenga was unable to recover, sealing a knockout victory for Joshua.

Speaking after the fight, Joshua said, “You have to dig deep in this sport. I was caught cold in the first, but champions find a way to answer back.”

The win boosts Joshua’s standing in the heavyweight division as he looks ahead to a potential blockbuster clash with fellow Briton Tyson Fury later this year.
