The Nigeria Police Force has confirmed the abduction of Kebbi State High Court judge, Justice Faruku Hassan Bunza.

According to reports, the incident occurred on Sunday at his residence along Zogirma Road in Bunza Local Government Area, shortly after he returned from Sokoto. 

Armed attackers reportedly stormed the house, fired shots sporadically and took the judge away.

The Police Public Relations Officer of the Kebbi State Command, SP Bashir Usman, confirmed the abduction, noting that although no one else in the residence was injured, the gunmen successfully fled with the victim.

Security agencies are expected to intensify efforts to secure his safe rescue, while investigations into the incident continue.
