In a significant move towards grassroots development, the Ogun State Government, under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun, has officially commissioned a new series of developmental projects in Ijebu East Local Government.

Commissioning the projects, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, represented by the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Babatunde Emilola-Gazal, commended the Chairman of Ijebu East Local Government, Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde, for his proactive initiative and the successful execution of various projects.

Hon. Hamzat, emphasised that each project represented a promise fulfilled and a testament to purposeful leadership, while also highlighting the importance of community sustainability in maintaining these developmental projects.

"I am confident that these projects will significantly impact the lives of our grassroots communities. I urge the people to take ownership of these infrastructures and protect them, ensuring their benefits are enjoyed for years to come," he stated.

In his opening address, the Chairman of the local government, Hon. Oluwadare Kehinde, reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to the people, noting that the progress witnessed, was a reflection of the promise made.

"These projects are beyond mere infrastructure as they embody the collective aspirations of our community for a prosperous Ijebu East. They have been meticulously selected to address the needs of our residents and enhance their quality of life," he added.

The Sagbenuwa of Ogbere, Oba Calistus Falujo, expressed his gratitude to the government for the attention given to local communities, commended Hon. Oluwadare for his intelligence and dedication, while he applauded his efforts at ensuring that development reached every corner of the local government.

The commissioning ceremony was marked by the inauguration of a newly renovated health center in Iwuyen, now equipped with an inverter system and solar-powered boreholes.

Additional significant projects included; the refurbishment of classroom blocks in Atoyo, Onipetesi, Ijebu Mushin and the Oke-Ade community. The initiative also involved the procurement of office furniture, renovation of the main Secretariat building in Ogbere and the construction of lock-up shops, amongst other developmental projects.
