Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke, has expressed confidence in his chances of winning the forthcoming governorship election despite facing an opposition party he said is backed by 34 governors.

Adeleke stated this in a post on his official social media page, describing himself as a “bulldozer” and insisting that he was not intimidated by the number of governors supporting the opposition.

“I am not worried that I am contesting against a party that has 34 governors, I am a bulldozer,” Adeleke wrote.

The governor said the governors supporting the opposition candidate would not be able to vote in Osun State, stressing that their influence would be limited to supporting their party.

He added: “If they like they should bring all their governors, they are all my friends. They are not the ones to come and vote here, they can only support their party.”

Adeleke also expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu over his intervention following the recent freezing of the Osun State Government’s account by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

“I appreciate Mr. President’s call during the recent EFCC freeze order on the state government’s account,” he said.

The governor further disclosed that Tinubu had assured him that the governorship election would be conducted freely and fairly.

“I was promised a free and fair election by President Tinubu,” Adeleke added.
