The Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Musa (rtd.), has accused former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, of committing several alleged wrongdoings during his tenure in office.

Musa alleged that El-Rufai deliberately divided Kaduna State along religious lines and made plans to kill people from Southern Kaduna.

Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Thursday, the Defence Minister said the former governor’s administration created a toxic atmosphere in the state.

According to Musa, residents of Southern Kaduna could not be expected to be happy with El-Rufai because of what he described as his alleged actions against the people.

“We know how it was when El-Rufai was there. It was toxic. El-Rufai did a lot of terrible things in Kaduna State; he divided the state in two,” Musa said.

He further alleged that whenever El-Rufai had an unresolved issue with an individual, the former governor would allegedly deploy bulldozers to demolish the person’s house.

Musa also commended the incumbent governor, Uba Sani, for what he described as efforts to correct some of the problems allegedly created during El-Rufai’s administration.

“Governor Uba Sani has been able to dissolve all that. We can never be happy with somebody (El-Rufai) who has deliberately planned for the killing of our people,” he added.
