Nigerian First Lady Donates ₦5m to Support Anambra Farmers Under RHI - The Alternative News

First Lady Oluremi Tinubu has donated ₦5 million to beneficiaries of the Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI) Agricultural Support Programme in Anambra State to strengthen their businesses.

The money was presented on her behalf by the wife of the Anambra State Governor, Nonye Soludo, at the Light House in Awka.

According to a statement issued on Monday by Soludo’s media aide, Daniel Ezeigwe, the donation followed the warm reception the First Lady received from beneficiaries of last year’s RHI Agricultural Support Programme during her visit to the state last Thursday.

The beneficiaries had presented a token of support for President Bola Tinubu and his administration ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Tinubu, who reportedly described the gesture as unprecedented, decided to reciprocate by supporting the beneficiaries with ₦5 million.
Soludo said the donation would further support and strengthen the beneficiaries’ businesses.

The RHI Agricultural Support Programme is designed to support vulnerable households and improve access to nutritious food, particularly for vulnerable groups such as nursing mothers and people facing food insecurity.

Soludo thanked the First Lady for the gesture, describing it as a reminder of the importance of kindness and appreciation.
