President Bola Tinubu has returned to Nigeria after spending four weeks in Europe on a working holiday.

DAILY POST reports that the presidential aircraft conveying the President landed at the Presidential Wing of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos on Tuesday evening.

The President had earlier departed Paris, France, for Nigeria on Tuesday afternoon.

According to his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu chose to fly into Lagos to honour the memory of Chief Moshood Kashimawo Olawale (MKO) Abiola, who is widely regarded as a martyr of Nigeria’s democratic struggle.

On Independence Day, the President is expected to attend the premiere of a movie commemorating Abiola, the presumed winner of the June 12, 1993, presidential election, at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Iganmu, Lagos.
