GOV. ABIODUN APPOINTS OGUNYINKA, ADEWOLE AS PERM. SECs.

 




 In a bid towards ensuring continuity in leadership and management as well as operational efficiency of the public service, the Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has approved the appointment of the Director, Planning, Research, and Statistics, Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mr. Olanrewaju Bernard Ogunyinka and Mrs. Adejumoke Oluwatoyin Adewole as Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service.

The Governor made the appointment in line with the provision of section 208 of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended) while merit, professionalism, inclusiveness and seniority in the Civil/Public service of the State are duly considered.

Mr. Ogunyinka, holds a Bachelor of arts (B.A) (Combined Honours) in English and Yoruba Languages from the Ogun State University, (now Olabisi Onabanjo University) Ago Iwoye in 1989 and Masters of Arts (M.A.) in Communication and Language Arts from the University of Ibadan in 1998, while Mrs Adewole holds  a Bachelor of Law LL.B (Hons.) from the University of Lagos, Akoka in 1989 and Barrister at Law Certificate (BL) from the Nigerian Law School, Lagos in 1990. 

The Permanent Secretaries are enjoined to bring exceptional leadership, dedication and expertise to this new role while striving for excellence in the continuous implementation of the ' Building Our Future Together' Agenda of Prince Dapo Abiodun.

Recall that Governor Abiodun had previously approved the appointment of the trio of Mr. Augustine Adekunle Oyesanwen, Engr. Olanike Ogunbona and Mrs. Arinola Nusirat Adetayo as permanent secretaries as announced on April 8, 2024.

Meanwhile, the Governor will conduct the Swearing - in - Ceremony of all the five (5) newly appointed Permanent Secretaries tomorrow, Friday, 7th June, 2024 at the State Executive Chamber by 11:00 am prompt.
