OGUN RETIRED PS, 20 OTHER EDUCATORS BAG OUTSTANDING AWARDS 









The Ogun State Retired Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Mrs Abosede Ogunleye and twenty other educators in both government and private sectors have received outstanding awards for their immense contributions to the education sector in the state by the Right Lifestyle Ministry(RLM).


The event which took place at Lisabi Grammar School, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, was to recognise and reward them for their hard work and unwavering dedication to better the lots of present and future generations.


While delivering the opening address at the event  themed 'Recognising the efforts of our educators while they are alive and not after they are dead', the founder and the Chairman of the ministry, Apostle (Dr.) Isaac Adegbola said, it is imperative to celebrate the efforts of educators in the state and in the country as a whole.


He said, "Africans are actually fond of celebrating people after they are dead and condemn them, while they are alive."


Adegbola added that education was pivotal to nation building and development, saying that the country would be a better place for all and Sundry, if quality education is accessible.


In his motivational speech, the State Commandant, Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Mr. Idowu Ojelabi represented by his deputy, Mr. Mayowa Odekunle urged educators to rededicate themselves to duty, as the day of reckoning will surely come.


Speaking on behalf of awardees, Mrs Abosede Ogunleye, expressed gratitude to the organiser for the award, promising to continue contributing their quota to the development of education. 


Other awardees included; Mr Oluwole Majekodunmi, Mrs Adesunmbo Okeowo, Mrs Bamidele Makinde, Odulesi Oduyemi, Mrs. Dada Oluyemisi, Mrs Ogundimu Morenikeji, Princess Rhoda Elijah, Mr. Ogunkole Olusola, Dr. Laide Odusote, Mrs Sunday Akindele, Duze Mary, Mr Soneye Oluwole, Mrs. Abosede Edun, among others.
