The pregnant woman, Rahemat Lateef, who was reported missing and due for delivery has been found, confessed why She faked her own kidnapping.

According to her, she was never abducted, rather, she fled to Kwara State to avoid her husband’s fury after having a miscarriage.

Recall that Rahemat was reportedly abducted, while on her way to the State General Hospital, Ijaiye, Abeokuta.

It was gathered that Rahemat was frustrated due to repeated miscarriages and had fabricated the kidnapping story.

Her husband, Ogunbunmi Lateef, had reported receiving a WhatsApp message notifying him of his wife’s abduction by unknown persons.

However, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Omolola Odutola, on Monday, provided an update on the incident and said Rahemat was found in Kwara State with her father.

She stated that the command’s Anti-Kidnapping Unit had begun tracking her until she reappeared.

"She is now under medical attention and is safe,” she added.
