ABIODUN RESTATES COMMITMENT TO GRASSROOTS DEVT

Provision of necessary social amenities in rural areas will continue to receive adequate attention of government, towards promoting the socio-economic wellbeing of the people and reducing urban migration.

 





Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun gave this assurance during the commissioning of 28 open stalls, 12 Lockup shops in Odogbolu Market and the Healthcare Centre at Ala community, all in Odogbolu Local Government Area (LGA).

Other projects include blocks of two classrooms at St. John Anglican Primary School, Ikise, Moslem Primary School, Okun-Owa, Ogbo United Primary School, Ogbo, St. Francis Primary School, Ibefun, Open stalls at Ayeipe, Ikangba, Boreholes at Akio, Idowa, Ososa, Iperin, Ikoto Healthcare Centre, among others

  Abiodun, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, said the projects were aimed at creating better conducive commercial environments towards improving the well-being of the residents of the area.

The governor expressed delight over the council Chairman's achievements and judicious use of funds in implementing various projects across communities, he urged people of the area to continue to support the Odogbolu local government.

Earlier in his speech, the Chairman, Odogbolu LG, Hon. Ladejobi Shuaib appreciated Governor Abiodun for his unwavering support, noting that the projects were in line with the ‘ISEYA’ Mantra of the present administration, towards creating job opportunities for the people.

In his remarks, Dagburewe of Idowa, Oba Sikiru Okuribido applauded the Governor for the support to LGAs, and for distributing the projects across the three Senatorial Districts of the state.

Dignitaries at the commissioning were Special Adviser to the Governor on Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Razak Daddah, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Dr. Rotimiolu Akinlesi, Directors in the Ministry, Mr. Olusegun Ibirinde and Mrs. Folashade Sogbiyeju, and many others.
