The Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has restored Phillip Shuaib as Edo State Deputy Governor, described the impeachment by the House of Assembly as Unlawful.

While delivering the judgement on Wednesday, Justice James Omotoso said that Shuaibu’s impeachment and subsequent removal from office violated the provisions of the law.
Having declared the removal as unlawful, the court subsequently ordered his reinstatement as deputy governor of the state.
Besides, the court ordered the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to restore his security details as deputy governor.
