President Bola Tinubu and Organized Labour to meet again next week as meeting over the new minimum wage for workers on Thursday deadlocked.
Speaking to journalists after the much-anticipated meeting, the President, Nigeria Labour Congress(NLC), Comrade Joe Ajaero said that both parties did not talk about financial specifics, saying that
the issue would be covered in a subsequent meeting with President Tinubu.
It was gathered that another meeting has been scheduled for next week.
On his part, the President of the Trade Union Congress of Nigeria (TUC), Comrade Festus Osifo, who also spoke to the journalists thereafter, mentioned that the Labour leaders met with the President to express their concerns about the hardships Nigerians were enduring.
However, the Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, who facilitated the meeting, stated that the issues discussed were advantageous to both sides.
