The ongoing commissioning of legacy projects across the 20 Local Government Areas of Ogun state is part of the present administration’s resolve to provide social amenities at the grassroots, as fundamental rights of citizens.
Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun said this at the commissioning of a Borehole and Health facility in Ajebandele, Ijebu East LGA, noting that accessibility to quality healthcare services, provision of potable water, infrastructure, among others were paramount to government for improved welfare and well-being of rural dwellers.
The Governor, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and
Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, who commended the LG Chairman for being prudent in executing laudable projects, imploring residents to properly maintain the amenities for betterment of the community.
In his remarks, Oloko of Imushin, Oba Adedeji Onafowokan expressed joy over the commissioning of the projects, lauding the Chairman for improving the livelihood of residents in the area, as well as various significant and developmental strides across the wards.
Speaking, Consultant to the Governor on Media and a formal Chairman in the local government, Comrade Tunde Oladunjoye applauded the council Chairman for being proactive and transparent, saying her leadership trait had helped in formulating impactful policies and programmes.
In her speech, Chairman of the LGA, Hon. Adetutu Oyesanya, appreciated the Governor and cabinet members for their support in the successful execution of the projects, assuring people of the area of more dividends of democracy.
She revealed that all projects embarked upon were people-oriented driven, noting that the struggles of accessing health care facilities and clean water had been a major problem, which had become history, advising that residents should see the health facility as first point of call in accessing healthcare.
