The Lagos State Police command confirmed the arrest, saying they were apprehended over their alleged involvement in kidnapping at Ebute Igbogbo Road in the Ikorodu area of the state.

It was gathered that the suspects were caught by people in the community 

The State’s Police Spokesperson, SP Benjamin Hundeyin said that the suspects were caught in the community, while attempted to kidnap a car dealer at the area on Tuesday by vigilant residents.

He stated, “Three suspects, Taiwo Olayinka, 30; Azeez Sodiq, 33; and Saheed Moonstruck 23, have been in our custody since yesterday, shortly after the incident, and efforts are on to arrest the remaining two suspects that escaped.”

He added that the investigation has commenced on the case.

However, in a viral video, the trio were seen stripped naked with blood dripping from parts of their boody while being locked at the back of a Toyota Venza Car.

Netizens have reacted to the alleged assault on the suspected kidnappers for being stripped.

“What a way to treat a human being! We deserve our leaders. They can keep oppressing everyone because THEY CAN.
