Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun will flag-off the reconstruction of  81km Lagos - Ota Abeokuta Expressway on Friday, August 23, 2024, at Ewekoro Local Government area of the state. 

A release signed by the State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, stated that the stretch of the Federal road, which had been abandoned for years by successive governments, would  witness a turn-around as its reconstruction commences. 

Akinsanya said the reconstruction was facilitated upon approval by the Federal Government, adding that the contracting firm, Craneburg Construction Limited,  had mobilised  equipments to the site for palliative measures, in an attempt to make one side of the road motorable, while proper reconstruction begins on the other section.

He pointed out that palliative measures already completed on the road with stone bases spread on the bad portion to make travelling less stressful, covered Sango-Ota, Patoko, Ifo, Ewekoro and Obada. 

The Commissioner enjoined people in the area to come out enmase and give the governor a rousing welcome.
