Confirming the development, the Lawmaker, representing Sabon Birnin North in the state House of Assembly, Honourable Almustapha Boza, said the team sent to deliver the ransom demanded by the bandits, only came back with his son while the district head was already buried before they got to the bandits’ location.

“Yes, I can confirm to you that he is dead, they have killed him. Even those who went there to deliver the ransom couldn’t meet him alive, they only came back with his son who was abducted together with him and we are on our way to the hospital now for treatment.”

 “We have agreed on N60m and brand new motorcycles as ransom. What delayed the delivery was the specification of the motorcycles demanded which is popularly known as Boko Haram.

“We have gotten the motorcycles today but unfortunately the bandits did not call the person they were communicating with. They normally called twice in a day; 8am and 5pm but today they have not called throughout,” he said.
