Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has described the retired Acting General Manager of Ogun State Water Corporation, Engr. (Mrs.) Muinat Jaji, as a seasoned professional, who delivered beyond expectation.
Gov. Abiodun, who made this submission at the send-off ceremony in Abeokuta, organised for Engr. (Mrs.) Jaji by the management of the agency, noting that provision of potable water to the people was a top priority to his administration, hence the insistence on a competent hand to manage the agency, saying, “I can say authoritatively that Mrs. Jaji is seasoned and has justified the confidence reposed in her”.
Represented by the Secretary to the Ogun State Government (SSG), Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, the governor noted that the Corporation had witnessed significant transformation under her watch and assisted government to deliver on its mandate on the social welfare and well-being through the provision of potable water in the state.
“She has broken new grounds and proven her critics wrong, especially those who believed she will not be able to man the agency effectively”, he said.
Also speaking, the friend to the retiree, who is also the Secretary to the Kogi State Government, Dr. (Mrs.) Folashade Ayoade, informed that the retiree was her classmate at the University of Ilorin, expressing joy at her achievements in the public service.
On her part, Commissioner for Special Duties and Intergovernmental Affairs, Mrs. Funmilayo Efuwape, affirmed that Mrs. Jaji demonstrated uncommon dedication and passion for her job, describing her “as a worthy partner”, who played critical role in revamping the water sector in the state.
Responding, Engr. (Mrs.) Jaji, appreciated the governor for the privilege given her to serve and support she got which culminated in feasible achievements in the agency, thanking government functionaries and the staff of the Corporation for their love and support over the years.
Also present at the event were the Head of Service, Mr. Kehinde Onasanya; Permanent Secretaries, Head of Parastatals and some retired General Managers of the Corporation.
