As the petrol shortage persists, actor and politician, Kenneth Okonkwo has criticized Nigerians who are now paying up to N1000 per litre for fuel.

In an Instagram post, Okonkwo highlighted that those currently waiting in line to purchase petrol at this inflated price were the same individuals who once protested against a hike to N140 per litre years ago in Ojota.

Okonkwo noted that the leaders of the 2012 protest against the increase are now responsible for the even higher prices, reaching N1000 per litre today.

 Recalled that the 2012 protest occurred during the Jonathan administration when fuel prices were raised to N140 per litre, a protest in which current President Bola Tinubu was actively involved.
