The House of Representatives has approved Olufemi Oluyede as the Chief of Army Staff, COAS, DAILY POST reports.

The confirmation came after a report was presented by Babajimi Benson, the chairman of the Committee on Defense.

DAILY POST reports that the Joint Committee on Army and Defense had screened Oluyede on Wednesday.

Recall that Oluyede was nominated by President Bola Tinubu as the Acting COAS due to the ill health of the former Chief of Army Staff, Taoreed Lagbaja, who later passed away.
