Ogun State government has deepened its awareness on leveraging innovative digital marketing landscape, as well as engaging cyber security best practices, towards growing the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
To this end, a training workshop organised by Bureau of Information Technology (BIT) in collaboration with GIZ at Kuto, Abeokuta, with over 100 entrepreneurs were again exposed to latest trends in digital marketing space, while trying to grow their businesses.
In her address, Director, Standard Regulations, Planning and Research, Mrs. Olatundun Adekunte, assured that Ogun State government would ensure regular updates on digital marketing awareness and integration, as well as cyber security best practices to enhance ecosystem of the state.
Speaking, one of the resource persons,President,Ogun Tech Community, Adekunle Durosinmi stated that digital marketing offers a wide range of opportunities that would boost organisation's image, noting that it could also mar long time achievements if not properly engaged.
He charged MSMEs on adaptation of the ever- changing cyber security safety tips ,while highlighting the benefits of engaging digital marketing innovations such as, cloud based productivity, e- commerce platforms, digital payment platforms among others, stated that social media or Google advertising remains seamless and affordable.
Durosinmi, who reeled out some digital space safety practices, such as Multi - Factor Authentication (MFA), implementation of fireworks and antivirus software, regular update of software and backup, usage of strong password , urged entrepreneurs to adapt technology world best practices for online safety and profits.
On her part, Chief Executive Officer, Fashion world Technologies,Bamidele Onope attested to digital marketing as major breakthrough in her organisation,called on other enterprenuers to key into numerous benefits of digital marketing .
Remarking, state Chairman, Cobblers and Leather Artisans Association of Nigeria, Mr. Ibrahim Kushimo appreciated the state government on behalf of Micro,Small and Medium Enterprises MSMEs, for empowering them on innovations that would boost their organisations, called for more of awareness on cyber security best practices.
