Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), has conducted screening for 29 prospective Zonal Secretaries, to fill five vacant positions, due to the induction of new Principals and Vice Principals to Public Secondary Schools in the state.
The exercise which took place at Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, was a follow up to the Computer-Based Test earlier conducted by the Commission in July, 2024, at the Baptist Boys High School, Saje, Abeokuta, to assess candidates on other parameters, such as professionalism, additional qualifications, confidence, among others.
In his address, Chairman in the Commission, Evang. Olalekan Ifede, said the exercise was to get the best out of the applicants, adding that each successful candidate would act as an extension of the Commission as Zonal Secretaries, urging them to perform excellently well and ready to work for the Commission.
Remarking, Permanent Secretary in the Commission, Mrs. Melutia Ogunremi, noted that the screening was part of due diligence, in order to ensure quality representations of the Commission at the Zonal level.
Responding, two of the candidates, Mr. Suraj Kehinde, and Mrs. Temitope Onayangbo, commended TESCOM for upholding standard at ensuring professionalism and effective service delivery.
