Better days are ahead of all residents of Yewa North Local Government Area of the State as the newly inaugurated executive chairman is poised to make good governance its stewardship.
The newly inaugurated Executive Chairman of the Council, Hon(Dr) Samuel Olusola Akinbode gave this assurance in Ayetoro during the maiden meeting with head of departments affirming that all hands would be on deck to improve the standard of living in the council area.
Dr Akinbode who declared that his administration would operate an open door policy to give room for participatory democracy, soliciting for the people and traditional rulers of the council to cooperate with him in giving the best and affirmed that his administration would implement developmental programs to enhance the socio-economic development of the people.
"My Administration would operate an open door policy so that all and sundry can contribute to the development of our Local Government Area. I therefore seek for your cooperation towards achieving our set goals and objectives", he said.
The council boss appreciated Governor Abiodun and good people of the council for the opportunity given them to serve and assured the residents that they would see their election as a call to serve humanity and not an avenue to enrich their private pockets.
He also assured career staffs of prompt attention to issues relating to welfare and implored them to make dedication and diligence their guiding principles at all time
In their separate remarks, the trio of an Elder State Man, Baba Olu Agemo, Bashorun Bisiriyu Popoola and Chief Kunle Adeosun lauded the infrastructural development of present government at all levels and call on the new LG administration to reciprocate at the grassroots
Earlier, the Head of Local Government Administration, Mrs Akinsola Oluseye assured career officer's loyalty and to jointly uplift the glory of God in the their scheme of works
