Mercy of God Community Development Association has expressed gratitude to state Gov, Prince Dapo Abiodun for his commitment to grassroot development through his support for Community Development Associations (CDAs) in the state.

This was expressed by the Chairman of the community, Dr AbdulWaheed Olanloye at the Annual General Meeting and End of the Year event held at the community Secretariat in Abeokuta.

Olanloye in his address said Mercy of God Community since it's registration in 2022 has fostered communal growth and development, while equally ensuring security of life and properties within the community.

"We have a number of achievements recorded in our community. We
employed guards from Soul Safe Security Corps, delineated the community, lighted up the community,
opened a bank account, erected security crossbars, resuscitated Annual End of Year get together, as well as registered the CDA with the government," he said.

Director, Community Development, Ministry of Community Development  and Cooperative, Olanrewaju Fayoyin in his remarks, commended the CDA for the fits achieved so far, saying the leadership of the community must not relent, but be more accountable, transparent and committed to the growth and development of the CDA.

Members of the community were urged to remain committed and pay their dues regularly as every money spent would be accounted for.
