CSR: NGO Trains Owu Youths On Proposal Writing(PHOTOS) - The Alternative News

As part of its corporate social responsibility efforts, Moremi Consulting Limited, in collaboration with Solace Foundation, has trained Owu youths on writing proposal.

The free one-day training program took place at the Owu palace in Abeokuta.

Addressing the participants, the Olowu of Kingdom, Oba (Prof.) Saka Matemilola, emphasized the importance of proposal writing in competing in the global labour market.






The monarch said, "some people don't know how to write a good proposal, it requires a wisdom to write. If someone knows how to write a good proposal, it will be easier to secure a job or sponsorship."

The monarch congratulated the participants and encouraged them to pay attention and ask questions.






Delivering her Lecture, the Facilitator at the program, Ms. Oluwayemisi Folarin explained that proposal writing requires research and must align with the goals and objectives of organizations. 

Folarin highlighted the training objectives to  include, Identifying key elements of a winning proposal, Tailoring proposals to specific audiences and funding opportunities, Writing clear, concise, and persuasive proposal narratives, Developing compelling budget proposals, among others.





She emphasized the need for a holistic approach in cultivating partnerships, and staying up-to-date with industry trends.





Lending her voice, the co-organizer and Executive Director of Solace Foundation,  Olori Ameenah Adeleye Matemilola,  stated that the training was aimed at helping youths and business owners secure funding, contracts, and sponsorships.





Speaking on behalf of the participants, the President of Owu Youth Forum, Mr. Olawale Olajumoke appreciated the organizers for the initiative, promising to practice their new skills and be better for it.





Highlight of the event was the presentation of certificates to the participants.
