The Ogun State Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Engr. Ade Akinsanya, has reiterated the government’s commitment to the timely completion of the Adesanolu Street road project in Mowe, Obafemi-Owode Local Government Area.
Engr. Akinsanya provided this assurance on Thursday during an interaction with journalists in Abeokuta, in response to concerns from some quarters suggesting that the contractor had abandoned the project site.
He refuted such claims, affirming that construction work is progressing as scheduled. “Contrary to the unfounded insinuations by a few individuals, the contractor remains fully mobilized on site and construction activities are ongoing as planned,” he stated.
Giving an update on the current status of the project, the Commissioner noted that kerb installation on both the left-hand and right-hand sides of the road has reached Chainage 2+500. He further disclosed that, in line with the contractor’s work plan, the supply of laterite will commence in the coming week, followed by the laying of stone base and asphalt up to the same chainage level.
Engr. Akinsanya reaffirmed the Prince Dapo Abiodun-led administration’s steadfast commitment to delivering durable and people-oriented infrastructure across the state.
