The Chairman, Ogun State Agricultural Development Corporation ( OGSADC), Evang. Olalekan Ifede has charged members of staff to re-double their efforts at resurcitating various farm projects covered by the Corporation.
The charge came during the first inaugural meeting with the management and staff of the Corporation with board members at the Conference Room of the Corporation in Abeokuta.
Ifede said following the interest of the Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun towards the good people of Ogun State, his Excellency has mandated the board members to initiate policies that would meet and boost the agricultural food production of the State.
Ifede encouraged members of staff on the need to be more dedicated and think out of the box towards reviving the farm projects under the Corporation's supervision in order to increase the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) for the State.
Emphasising the need to also revive the poultry section of the Corporation that has been moribund for years, the Chairman said reviving the poultry could be a major source of income to the State and it's citizen.
Also speaking, one of the appointed members, Hon.Oluwaseun Adebowale, said the mandate of the Governor to us, is to revive the potential imbedded in the Corporation through its various farm projects across the State, project in the areas of cashew, palm cannel, rubber among other farm projects.
Promising that the mandate would be carried out to the latter, Hon. Oluwaseun however solicited for the management and staff support at making government intentions a reality.
