Tinubu hails Adeleke as ‘Pan-Nigerian leader’ at 65 - The Alternative News

President Bola Tinubu has described Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, as a pan-Nigerian leader, lauding his inclusive approach to governance as the governor marks his 65th birthday, PUNCH ONLINE reports.

In a birthday message personally conveyed through a statement by his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga on Tuesday, the President praised Adeleke for embodying national unity through both his heritage and leadership style.

“He has proven to be pan-Nigerian in his way of life and governance philosophy, exemplified by his Yoruba and Igbo heritage,” Tinubu said.

The President acknowledged Adeleke’s cross-cultural appeal, noting that his background and conduct in public office reflect a commitment to national integration, which is critical in today’s Nigeria.

Adeleke, who turned 65 on May 13, was first elected Senator for Osun West in 2017, taking over from his late brother, Senator Isiaka Adeleke.

He was elected governor in 2022 on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party.

Tinubu commended Adeleke’s political rise and visibility, describing him as “a politician of reckoning not only in Osun State but also across the country and beyond.”

In a personal note, Tinubu offered prayers for continued strength and divine grace for the governor.

“The President personally prays for more years, good health and God’s infinite mercies on Governor Adeleke, the Asiwaju of Edeland, his hometown,” the statement concluded.
