Continue To Uphold Ethics of Your Profession - New Ogun TESCOM Boss Charges ANCOPSS

 


The newly appointed Chairman of Ogun State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM), Apostle Abiodun Sanyaolu  has charged the Executives of All Nigeria Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools, (ANCOPSS), Ogun State Chapter, not to relent in promoting academic excellence in schools across the State.

The TESCOM Boss, gave the charge while playing host to the body led by its President, Mr. Adeniyi  Adekoya in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Apostle Sanyaolu said principals and teachers were the custodian of school system, noting that their commitment and dedication as administrators would have a long- term impact on learners.

He stated that the new Board had a robust plan and initiatives that would improve the teaching and learning environment, seeking their support in achieving the policy thrust of the commission, while promising to look into their requests.

          “I encourage members of this body, teaching and non-teaching staff in our Secondary Schools to continue to uphold the ethics of your professions and be dutiful”, the TESCOM boss said.

Apostle Sanyaolu urged the body to strengthen its partnership with the Old Students' Associations, towards contributing their quota to the education sector.

Speaking, Permanent Secretary in the Commission, Mrs. Melutia Ogunremi, who appreciated the body for being a partner in progress, assured that TESCOM would leave no stone untuned  at ensuring that teachers have their  pride of place in the Civil Service.

In his presentation, Mr. Adekoya, welcomed the new TESCOM Board and commended the Chairman for his innovativeness towards sustaining the good work of his predecessor.

          Mr. Adekoya pleaded with the Board to continue prioritizing the welfare of the teaching workforce, provide more infrastructure and renovate the dilapidated  structures, as well as make school more secured, reiterating members' commitment to efficient service delivery, pledged their support to the new Board.

Others personalities in attendance were some of the Board members in TESCOM; Commissioner I, Hon. Adeola Akintande, Commissioner III, Hon. Majekodunmi Olanrewaju and Commissioner IV, Hon. Ademola Adeleye, Director of Administration and Supplies, Mr. Akintomiwa Osibodu and the executive members of ANCOPSS.
