Pavel Durov Reveals Plan to Split $17 Billion Among 106 Children, But In 2055 - The Alternative News

Telegram founder and billionaire tech entrepreneur, Pavel Durov, has unveiled an unconventional inheritance plan: his $17 billion fortune will be divided equally among his 106 biological children, but only in the year 2055.

Speaking with French magazine Le Point, the 40-year-old Russian-born mogul revealed that he recently finalized his will, which includes a 30-year delay on access to the inheritance.

“I want them to live like normal people, to build themselves up alone, to learn to trust themselves… not to be dependent on a bank account,” Durov explained.

Durov’s biological offspring come from two distinct origins: 6 children conceived naturally with three different partners.

“There are those who were conceived naturally and those who come from my sperm donations. They are all my children and will all have the same rights,” he emphasized.
“I don’t want them to tear each other apart after my death.”

According to Durov, it all began as a gesture to help a friend. But since his first donation, clinics informed him that over 100 children have been born using his sperm.

Each child could receive between $131 million and $161 million, according to Bloomberg and Forbes.

Best known for co-founding Telegram, Durov is widely regarded as a privacy advocate and a digital libertarian. His approach to fatherhood and wealth reflects his broader philosophy of independence, self-discipline, and anti-elitism.

His plan to delay inheritance is seen as a bold attempt to ensure his children earn their own way in life, while also addressing the potential pitfalls of massive inherited wealth and family discord.
