The first batch of pilgrims from Ogun State has returned safely to Nigeria following the completion of the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage. The group arrived at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport in Lagos at exactly 4:28 p.m. on Monday.

Their safe return marks the beginning of the homeward journey for pilgrims from the state, after successfully performing the annual Islamic rites in Saudi Arabia.

Government officials and Hajj coordinators were on hand to receive the pilgrims, ensuring a smooth and orderly disembarkation and transition process.

Authorities have urged the returning pilgrims to uphold the spiritual lessons of Hajj in their daily lives and to promote discipline, unity, and moral conduct in their communities.

Another batch of Ogun pilgrims is expected to arrive in the coming days.
