The Federal High Court in Abuja has again barred human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, from attending the trial of Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
The court cited limited space in the courtroom as the reason for the exclusion. The trial, scheduled for Friday, July 18, continues to draw intense public interest.
On Wednesday, a clearance list of 20 persons, including Sowore, was submitted to the court. However, the judge’s chambers later reduced the number to 10 attendees, citing space constraints.
Consequently, several individuals, including Sowore and some defence lawyers, were removed from the list. Only Senior Advocates of Nigeria (SANs) and a select few were cleared to attend
