The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 25-year-old man, Samuel Eze, found in possession of a fresh female breast, in a shocking incident that has sent waves of outrage across the state.
The arrest, which took place around 3:00 p.m. on Sunday along Jude Onyekwere Street, Awada, Obosi, was executed by a joint patrol team comprising officers from the Awada Police Station and Anambra Vigilante Operatives.
According to a press release issued by the Command’s spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the body part was recovered at the scene and immediately deposited in a morgue for proper preservation. The suspect is currently undergoing police interrogation and will face prosecution after investigations are concluded.
In a related development, Ikenga also revealed that police operatives rescued a kidnapped truck driver and arrested three suspects involved in the abduction and diversion of goods intended for delivery in Asaba, Delta State. The operations, which spanned Saturday and Sunday, were carried out in collaboration with other security agencies.
“These arrests and successful rescue efforts are a testament to the Command’s renewed efforts to clamp down on criminal activities and ensure public safety across Anambra State,” Ikenga said.
