The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has confirmed the safe arrival of 139 Nigerian returnees from Agadez, Niger Republic, as part of ongoing efforts to facilitate the dignified return of stranded migrants.

The returnees landed at Malam Aminu Kano International Airport, Kano, on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, at approximately 7:57 p.m., via a Sky Mali flight. The agency disclosed the development on its official X account on Thursday.

According to NEMA’s Kano Operations Office, the returnees included 22 adult males, 52 adult females, 33 male children, and 32 female children. They were received, documented, and temporarily accommodated at Badala Hotel, where profiling was conducted on Wednesday, July 30.

NEMA stated that the reception and reintegration process was well-coordinated and successfully executed.
