Big Brother Naija has honoured the memories of three former housemates who have passed away, Francisca Owumi, Joseph Ada, and Patrick Fakoya, popularly known as Rico Swavey.

During Monday’s live show, the current season’s housemates gathered as images of the departed stars were displayed on screen, followed by a solemn minute of silence in their remembrance.

Owumi, runner-up of the show’s debut edition in 2006, was celebrated for her vibrant personality, free spirit, and passion for dance. She passed away in 2024 after battling an illness.

Joseph “Joe” Ada, also from the 2006 season, was remembered for his time in the house and his life beyond the show before his death in May 2023 after health struggles.

Rico Swavey, a contestant in the 2018 Double Wahala season, was honoured for his creativity, calm nature, and artistry. He tragically lost his life in a car accident in 2022.

The tribute underscored BBNaija’s enduring bond with its alumni, ensuring their legacies remain alive in the hearts of fans and fellow housemates.
