Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has presented a brand-new Sports Utility Vehicle to gospel singer and broadcaster, Yinka Ayefele, following last Friday’s fire outbreak at his Fresh FM 105.9 Music House in Ibadan.

The inferno, which gutted parts of the complex, destroyed property worth several millions of naira.

Makinde, represented by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Otunba Ademola Ojo, handed over the vehicle during a visit to the Music House on Tuesday.

Commiserating with Ayefele, the governor lauded his resilience and his contributions to the entertainment and media industry in Oyo State and across Nigeria.

 “You are a symbol of perseverance and inspiration to millions of Nigerians. On behalf of the governor and the state government, we present this gift to you,” Ojo said.

It would be recalled that Governor Makinde had earlier visited the station a day after the incident to assess the damage and sympathise with Ayefele.
