Baby Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala, the grandson of Nollywood star Iyabo Ojo, has become a social media sensation, amassing more than 100,000 Instagram followers just hours after his page was unveiled.

Rakeem, the son of Nigerian influencer Priscilla Ojo and Tanzanian music star Juma Jux, made his Instagram debut on Sunday with the handle @rakeem_mk. His account quickly went viral after Iyabo Ojo announced the birth on her page, proudly declaring herself the “sexiest grandma in town.”

Priscilla confirmed the delivery in a post on Monday, dismissing rumours that she had given birth earlier.

“Prince Rakeem Ayomide Mkambala….24.08.25,” she wrote.

Although his face has yet to be revealed—photos shared online remain blurred—fans are eagerly awaiting the first official image. So far, Rakeem’s account only features a collaborative post with his mother, managed directly by his parents.

Despite the limited content, the follower count has already surpassed 112,000, with most fans coming from Nigeria and Tanzania. The newborn is also drawing attention for his multicultural background, holding ties to Nigeria, Tanzania, and Canada.

Currently in Canada with her daughter, Iyabo Ojo announced that a naming ceremony will be held in Lagos. Meanwhile, congratulatory messages from fans, friends, and colleagues of both families continue to pour in across social media.
