The Executive Chairman of the Ogun State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Evangelist Olalekan Ifede, has reaffirmed the State Government’s commitment, under the Prince Dapo Abiodun’s administration to build a resilient and responsive Basic Education system.

Evangelist Ifede, gave the assurance during the commissioning and handing over of a Block of 3 classrooms, completed with modern toilets, borehole, perimeter fencing, head teacher’s office, and learners’ furniture, donated by Apples and Pears Nigeria Limited at Orile-Imo, Obafemi Owode Local Government Area.

Represented by SUBEB Secretary, Mr. Olubori Akinleye, Ifede said that the administration would ensure no child, whether in urban or rural areas, was left behind in accessing Basic Education.

“Education is not just about having children in school, it’s about ensuring that learning takes place in an environment where they feel safe, valued and equipped to grow intellectually, socially and emotionally,” he said.

He commended the donor for their corporate social responsibility, noting that the donation would help access quality education.

Speaking, Chairman, Obafemi-Owode Local Government, Amb. Olanrewaju Ogunsola, commended the company for their contribution and thoughtfulness, while hoping that others along that corridor would emulate such gesture.

In his welcome address, Secretary, Local Government Education Authority (LGEA), Hon. Olaseni Emmanuel, explained that the facility would serve as an annex to NUD Nursery and Primary School, Orile-Imo, adding that, the new location would spare learners the risk of trekking long distances along the expressway just as parents would monitor their children more easily.

Responding, Baale of Kajola, Chief Ayinde Fatai, expressed gratitude while pledging proper maintenance of the facilities for the benefit of the community.
