The Chairman of the Committee on World Tourism Day, Otunba Sunday Oyeyemi, has announced that the 2025 edition of the celebration will commence tomorrow.

This year’s event, themed “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation,” is designed to highlight the significance of tourism in its social, cultural, political, and economic dimensions.

According to the release, the official colour for 2025 is Blue, symbolising peace and unity, reflecting how tourism cuts across all sectors of society.

The event will hold at the Cultural Centre, Abeokuta, and all Committee members and invited guests are expected to be seated by 11:00 a.m.

Members of the planning committee, as constituted, are: Otunba Sunday Oyeyemi, Chairman; Otunba Raphael Adesina, Member; Mrs. Olabisi Afonja, Member; Omolola Adebakin, Member; and Mr. Afolabi Goriola, Secretary;

The Committee has been mandated to organise a befitting celebration of the 2025 World Tourism Day in Ogun State.
