Salihu Tanko Yakasai, a former media aide to ex-Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, has berated President Bola Tinubu’s communication team following a blunder on the president’s official social media handle.

A post from the president’s verified X (formerly Twitter) account was deleted shortly after it was published, sparking criticism from Yakasai, who is popularly known by his handle @dawisu.

Reacting on Saturday, Yakasai described the development as “really embarrassing,” insisting that such mistakes should not emanate from the nation’s number one office.

He wrote: “It’s really embarrassing to see this lying post deleted @officialABAT.

The handler should be fired. In fact, all your 10 media aides should be fired and replaced with 1 Tolu. A simple typo shouldn’t come from the president’s official handle, let alone infograph of lies.”

Yakasai, who has consistently criticised the Tinubu administration, also accused the government of concentrating projects disproportionately in Lagos, to the detriment of other parts of the country.
