An Egyptian national, identified as 56-year-old Mohammed Saleh, has died after collapsing during dinner at the Abuja Continental Hotel in Wuse, Abuja.

PUNCH Online reports that the hotel’s Security Supervisor, Francis Yusuf, notified the police around 9:24 pm on Saturday after Saleh suddenly slumped while dining with three companions.

He was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital before being referred to the Wuse District Hospital, where a doctor on duty confirmed him dead. His body has since been deposited at the hospital morgue for an autopsy.

The report has it that the Police Public Relations Officer of the FCT Police Command, Josephine Adeh, has yet to issue an official statement on the incident.
