Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State has dissolved his cabinet, dismissing all commissioners and other affected public officers following the recent Supreme Court judgment.

The announcement was made on Wednesday in a statement by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi.

Fubara held a private valedictory session with members of his cabinet at the Government House, Port Harcourt, as part of activities to mark Nigeria’s 65th Independence Anniversary.

During the session, he appreciated the commissioners for their service and contributions to the state’s growth over the last two years. He also urged Nigerians to support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s efforts toward building a peaceful and prosperous nation.

The governor assured Rivers people of his renewed commitment to service, while thanking citizens for their continued support.
