A teenager, Kamardeen Aishat, has dismissed as false a report alleging that she was raped by a Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain in Kwara State, Comrade Musbau Esinrogunjo.

Speaking with journalists in Ilorin, Aishat described the online publication as a fabricated political plot aimed at tarnishing the reputation of Esinrogunjo, whom she described as her “angel” and benefactor.

She clarified that the politician had only been assisting her financially to support her education and revealed that she had just secured admission into the University of Ilorin.

Flanked by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Kamardeen, the Osun State-born teenager said she was shocked and embarrassed by the viral report. “I was never raped by anyone. The rumours circulating online are false and politically driven,” she stated.

Her father, Mr. Kamardeen, also debunked the story, insisting that his daughter, who will turn 18 in February 2026, is religious and disciplined. He alleged that the story was concocted to damage the image of Esinrogunjo, known in the community for helping the less privileged.

Similarly, her mother, Mrs. Tawalitu Kamardeen, described her daughter as morally upright and reiterated that the publication was false and malicious.

The family appealed to Nigerians to disregard the report, saying it was aimed at smearing the reputations of both Aishat and the PDP chieftain.
