The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced a downward review of the final fare for the 2026 Hajj exercise to ₦7,991,141.76  (Seven Million, Nine Hundred and Ninety-One Thousand, One Hundred and Forty-One Naira, Seventy-Six Kobo.) a reduction from the earlier approved  ₦8,784,085.59. (Eight Million, Seven Hundred and Eighty-Four Thousand, Eighty-Five Naira, Fifty-Nine Kobo).

Confirming the development, the Executive Secretary of the Ogun State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alhaji Ajibola Taiwo, said the review followed a presidential directive aimed at easing the financial burden on intending pilgrims.

According to him, the revised fare represents a reduction of ₦792,943.83 (Seven Hundred and Ninety-Two Thousand, Nine Hundred and Forty-Three Naira, Eighty-Three Kobo), per pilgrim compared to the previous rate.

Ajibola further disclosed that the deadline for full payment of the 2026 Hajj fare, earlier scheduled for December 31, 2025, has now been brought forward to December 3, 2025.

He advised intending pilgrims to make prompt payments to avoid missing out on the opportunity and directed them to visit the Board’s office at Block B, Governor’s Office, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, for further clarification and processing.
