The candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) and incumbent governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has been declared the winner of the Anambra State governorship election.

Soludo, who contested against 15 other candidates, secured a decisive victory after recording overwhelming votes across the state’s 21 local government areas (LGAs).

According to the official results released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Soludo garnered a total of 422,664 votes, while his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), polled 99,445 votes.

The election, conducted in 5,720 polling units, further solidified APGA’s dominance in Anambra politics, with Soludo maintaining a commanding lead in both rural and urban centers.

Ukachukwu, despite making inroads in a few LGAs, fell short of the numbers required to unseat the incumbent governor.
