The Minister of Defence, Christopher Musa, has revealed that despite conspiracies against him, faith in God and divine intervention played a crucial role in his rise to national leadership.

Musa said God intervened at a difficult moment in his life and turned what was meant to bring him down into an elevation, stressing that spiritual strength sustained him through opposition.

The former Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) made the revelation while sharing his testimony during a recent worship service at Conquerors Global Assembly, Abuja.

According to him, setbacks and opposition are often tools used by God to prepare individuals for greater responsibilities. He encouraged Christians to remain steadfast, assuring them that God never abandons His people.

“We give God the glory for what has happened this year. Even when the enemy thought they were putting us down, they did not know God was going to lift us up,” Musa said.

“In their small minds, they conspired and thought they had won. But as long as you have God as your pillar, you will win.”

Musa further noted that challenges are necessary for growth and national development, urging Nigerians to remain united and prayerful.

“If you are never challenged, you can never improve in life. As Nigerians, we know we are strong, but we are stronger together with God Almighty. Nigerians are winners. We must continue to pray for our leaders and our country,” he added.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu had, on December 2, nominated Musa as Minister of Defence and forwarded his name to the Senate for confirmation.

He was selected as a replacement for Mohammed Badaru, who resigned from the position due to health-related reasons.
