Principals have been regarded as an engine room of educational transformation, nation builders, custodians of values and drivers of excellence rather than mere administration of schools. 

This indication.was brought to the fore by the Chairman of Ogun State Teaching Service Commission, (TESCOM), Apostle 'Biodun Sanyaolu during the 45th Annual Congress of  All Confederation of Principals of Secondary Schools (ANCOPSS) Ogun  State Branch, at the Asade Agunloye Pavillion Empire, Ilaro. 

Apostle Sanyaolu stated that the crucial roles of principals could not be underrated in achieving an all encompassing educational development needed for the nation's growth, noting that their  commitment in ensuring  effective school admistration had reflected in the performances of students in curriculum and extra-curricular activities.

He commended ANCOPSS in the State for the timely and strategic theme of the congress, '' Implementation of the Digital Technological Revolutions in Ogun State:Prospects and Challenges'', adding that it captured the current realities of global education and align with the State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun"s Vision to build a modern, technology - driven and globally competive education sector.

He charged members of the association to always keep abreast of Information, Communication and Technology developments and encourage their staff, ensure that teachers attend classes regularly, maintain proper order and displine in schools among others.

In his address, Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu affirmed that the State education sector investment in digital transformation was yielding positive results and enchancing productivity.

Given his goodwill message, the Olú of Ilaro and paramount ruler of Yewaland, Oba Kehinde Olugbenle appreciated the Prinpals and teachers for their  continuous service to the State and the synergy in running affairs of school, calling for perimeter fencing of schools for adequate security and preventing land encroachment.

Earlier in his address, the President, Ogun ANCOPSS, Mr. Adeniyi Adekoya appreciated the Governor  Abiodun for the vibrant policies in the education which had engendered improved service delivery in teaching and learning in schools across the State, urging  his members to sustain their  hardwork and dedication to duties.

Other dignitaries at the event are the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board,  TESCOM Board members, Principals- General, TESCOM Directors and Community members.
