Ajara Lasisi, the Nigerian actress popularly known as Aunty Ajara in the Yoruba film industry, has been laid to rest.

Her death was confirmed on Thursday by her elder brother, Ridwan Lasisi.

In accordance with Islamic rites, Aunty Ajara was buried a few hours after her death. The burial commenced with Salatul Janaza (funeral prayers), which were attended by family members, friends, colleagues and fans.

Following the prayers, her body was interred by a group of men, including her elder brother.

Aunty Ajara was widely known for her roles in Yoruba films, where she earned admiration for her talent and strong screen presence.
