The Ogun State Internal Revenue Service (OGIRS) has granted an extension for the filing of Annual Tax Returns by Tax Agents in the state. 

The extended filing window will run from February 1 to 14, 2026,  providing Tax Agents with additional time to comply with statutory laws.

Tax Agents are advised to take advantage of this extension to file their returns accurately and promptly.

Tax Agents must note that 

filing annual returns is a legal obligation for all taxable individuals and organisations. Those who fail to file within the stipulated period will be liable to penalties, and other sanctions as provided by law.

Therefore, OGIRS encourages all Tax Agents who are yet to comply, to take advantage of the extention period to avoid unnecessary penalties and to enjoy the benefits of a transparent and digitalized driven tax system.
