...applauds reforms in the Sports sector

The Director General/Chief Executive Officer of the National Institute for Sports (NIS), H.E. Comrade Philip Shaibu, has extended his warm wishes to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, on the occasion of his 74th birthday, describing him as a visionary leader whose reforms are steadily reshaping Nigeria’s future.

In a goodwill message he personally signed, Shaibu commended the President’s bold and strategic approach to governance, noting that the Renewed Hope Agenda has continued to inspire confidence across key sectors of the economy. 

He emphasized that the administration’s policies are laying a strong foundation for sustainable growth and national development.

Speaking particularly on the sports sector, the NIS DG highlighted the President’s commitment to revitalizing sports as a tool for youth empowerment, economic development, and national unity. 

He noted that ongoing reforms and renewed attention to sports development are positioning Nigeria to harness its vast talent potential while creating opportunities for young people across the country.

The immediate past deputy governor of Edo state expressed optimism that the President’s forward-thinking initiatives will deliver lasting benefits, not only improving the standard of living for Nigerians but also strengthening institutions critical to national progress.

He reaffirmed his support for the Tinubu administration, pledging the continued cooperation of the National Institute for Sports in driving policies and programs that align with the government’s vision for a stronger and more prosperous Nigeria.

“Mr. President, your leadership continues to set a clear direction for our nation. Your commitment to reform and national development is evident, and your impact is being felt across all sectors, including sports, where new hope is being rekindled,” Shaibu stated.

“As you celebrate this milestone, I join millions of Nigerians in wishing you good health, wisdom, and renewed strength to continue steering the country toward greater heights.”

President Tinubu clocks 74 today, marking another year of impactful leadership and dedicated service to the nation.
